Nintendo To Make Another Handheld System : The 2DS

The company we've always loved, the company that made the Pokemons we've always tried to catch, has revealed new details about it's upcoming console in the handheld lineup, the new Nintendo 2DS. Catch more about this new little guy below.

Feast Your Eyes  :

Yesterday, Ninetendo announced it's new handheld console, 2DS, is set to release on October 12th and having a price tag of $129.99. As you can see, the 2DS is featuring a slate-like design unlike the clam-shell design of the previous 3DS and the DS.

Sneak Peek Of The 2DS :

The 2DS, as you can see in the above video, will be available in two main colours which are red and blue and will be sold alongside the 3DS and the 3DS XL. The 2DS will also contain a 4GB memory card and has the same power source as 3DS and the DSi. There will also be cameras on both the sides, continuing the trend of AR games while enabling 3D photography. And interestingly, the 3D photos you take, won't display on your 2DS but will still remain functional if transferred to a 3DS. The 2DS will feature mono sound as it contains only one speaker but can produce full stereo via headphones/earphones which can be connected via the headphone jack.

“We’re always thinking about what we can do that’s new, unique, different, and brings more people into this category that we love,” Fils-Aime said. “And so with the Nintendo 3DS, we were clear to parents that, ‘hey, we recommend that your children be seven and older to utilize this device.’ So clearly that creates an opportunity for five-year-olds, six-year-olds, that first-time handheld gaming consumer.”
